Prepare yourself for a very special and unique birding experience among one of the most magnificent and last remaining places on Mauritius where five of the nine remaining endemic birds still survive.You will get to walk in glorious tranquil forests while observing some of the World’s rarest birds, such as the Pink Pigeon, Echo Parakeet, Grey-white eye, Paradise Flycatcher and Black Bulbul. Often seen soaring along the ridgeline are Mascarene swallows, white-tailed tropic birds and Mascarene swiftlets. The Mauritius kestrel can occasionally be spotted at Sublime Point.
Approx. 2.5-4 hr bird watching & hike, depending on client requirements. Start at 9am. Hike to your private bird watching viewpoint to see the Mauritius Echo Parakeet, Pink Pigeon, Mauritian merle, Grey white eye and Mauritian flycatcher. Hike or drive to Sublime Point for a juice per person (Citronelle or Tamarin) and 3 local snacks. Hike or drive to Flycatcher raised walkway for a guided tour, then a return to the Visitor Centre for the museum.
